We are a group of college students at SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry who are going to be trying something new in our writing class. Environmental awareness is something we would like to spread, so we are going to be publishing weekly installations about the Adirondack Mountains of upstate New York. We will be posting pictures and writing about some of the problems that the Park faces today.

Hike Update
Well, spring break is over. The hike was cut short due to some pulled leg muscles. Our travel was slowed considerably, and with bad weather on the way, we decided to play it safe and head home. The last thing that we wanted to do was get stuck out in the woods in a blizzard. We did say out for one night and hiked about 15 miles. This just goes to show that even the best plans can change unexpectedly. We took quite a few pictures and still were able to have a good time. Maybe we will try again in warmer weather.
